About This Event
The Portland Soup Showdown brings together Portland chefs and culinary teams for an afternoon of incredible soup, friendly competition, and community impact at Midtown Beer Garden. Taste your way through soups from Han Oak, Magna Kusina, Fabrika: Kachka’s Distillery & Zakuski Bar, Jacqueline, Olympia Provisions, Alma, Obon Shokudo, Norah, Tartuca, and more, then cast your vote for the People’s Choice winner. A Chef’s Choice panel featuring Lisa Schroeder of Mother’s Bistro, Javier Canteras of Urdaneta, and chef and food industry professional Arielle Clark will crown its own winner. Hosted by Quesa D’ Mondays, the afternoon will also feature raffle prizes, drinks, and plenty of friendly competition. Proceeds benefit Stone Soup PDX’s culinary workforce training and Community Meals programs, which prepare more than 2,100 meals each week for Portland-area community partners.
